Connie O’Neal, LPC-MHSP

“Everyone has a unique story. I am passionate about creating a safe space for my clients to share their story as they process through the issues that are preventing them from thriving. The journey toward healing begins with a strong therapeutic relationship based on trust and mutual respect. It would be an honor and privilege to hear your story and assist you in working through issues such as anxiety, depression, grief / loss, relationship issues, trauma, and past wounds. The counseling experience creates a time to address past and present issues and pursue wholeness-emotionally, mentally, physically, and spiritually, recognizing that all emotions affect every aspect of our being. Individual, Couples, and Family Therapy

As a therapist trained in Gottman Level I Couple’s Counseling, it is my passion to help couples struggling in their marital relationships. I recognize the importance of providing a safe environment where couples can share their frustrations, challenges, disappointments, and heartaches. Vital to the healing process is the recognition that everyone needs to be seen, heard, and validated. I work with couples on communication issues, conflict resolution issues, infidelity, and rebuilding of trust among other issues. I recognize how past trauma and other adverse childhood experiences can influence the present relationship. Learning new skills and working on a plan will help to heal present issues in the marriage. You are not alone in the pain and challenges. It is my desire to come alongside you, and to provide help and hope for a healthy and thriving marriage

Additional Information for Connie O’Neal

A client’s growth process starts with the desire for change and continues with a trusting therapeutic relationship. My desire is to provide that therapeutic relationship as well as counseling services to nurture emotional and mental well-being leading to healing and growth for pre-teens, teens, adults, seniors, and couples, with a wide range of issues. Setting goals, making a treatment plan, and working toward developing coping skills to reduce anxiety, depression and/or working on such problems as school issues, self-esteem, or grief/loss. Whatever the need, there is support available. Reach out today and we will start the healing journey together.

Ms. O’Neal and her husband of 42 years have two adult children, a son and daughter, one black lab named Zoe and 3 cats. When she is not in the counseling office, she and her husband enjoy church activities, traveling, cooking, entertaining, and going to movies. Ms. O’Neal started the process of returning to school to work on her master’s degree later in life after an abundance of life experiences. “I had to do the work on myself in the counselor’s office before God gave me the passion and desire to follow the long journey to becoming an LPC-MHSP, licensed professional counselor-mental health service provider.” Ms. O’Neal looks forward to working with her many clients who reach out for counseling.
